Haters gonna hate.
I keep seeing nasty comments about how skinny Angelina Jolie looked at the Oscars.
There’s a TT in Twitter that consists of coming up with the perfect role for said actress. Some of the most popular were “the feather in Forest Gump”, “the thing that was gone with the wind in Gone With the Wind”, and -get this- Amy Winehouse.
Here’s the thing. Angelina Jolie struggled with anorexia until recently. She’s recovering, and she’s doing just fine. She seemed happy, and healthy, all things considered. One way or another, she has ALWAYS been the thinner-than-normal type.
Now, what really pisses me off, is hypocrisy. Sure, let’s make fun of this one celebrity- in a really pejorative manner, if I may add- but then let’s pretend we’re all sad and touched when said celebrity dies. Remember how everyone made fun of Amy Winehouse? Then she died and suddenly we all loved and respected her. We all felt sorry for her. Remember when everyone made fun of Whitney Houston? Same thing happened.
Now, I know Angelina is going to be okay- she’s the ultimate fighter- but if something were to happen to her, every one would “be sorry”.
Making fun of ANYONE who’s suffering from whatever- call it addiction, eating disorders, blah blah- is fuckin low and disgusting. Take a look in the fuckin mirror before pointing your fingers.
